COBA ANNOUNCES THE 22nd ANNUAL TOUR OF HOMES™ NEW PRESENTING SPONSOR
(Bend, OR) – January 6, 2010

Tim Knopp, Executive Vice President of Central Oregon Builders Association (COBA) and Kimo Dejon, president of Aloha Blinds & Designs, Inc. (ABD) with its headquarters in Bend, announced today that Aloha Blinds & Designs, the region’s premier provider of custom window / door coverings and home automation technology to the building industry and to private homeowners, has signed an agreement to be the Presenting Sponsor of this year’s COBA Central Oregon Tour of Homes slated for July 16-18 and July 23-25, 2010.

Knopp stated that “we are pleased to have Aloha Blinds & Designs sponsor another event with COBA as they have provided sponsorships over the years in different venues and this will be a significant event for them and us.”

Dejon added that being the Presenting Sponsor of the Central Oregon’s biggest building industry event is a move by Aloha Blinds & Designs that is intended to send a positive message to all builders, and the community in general, that the economy is on the rebound and the future looks very good for the building industry in Central Oregon – this area is still on everyone’s radar screen for the quality of life that it represents.” “People from outside of the region will still move here in large numbers because of everything that Central Oregon offers”!

The COBA Tour of Homes™ is the largest “open house” event in Central Oregon and annually offers builders, sub-contractors, & suppliers an opportunity to present the best work they can offer. Serious out of market homebuyers typically travel to Central Oregon during these weekends to shop for homes. COBA traditionally receives phone calls and inquiries from prospective out of state homeowners seeking to relocate to Central Oregon, and this year has been no exception. Historically COBA estimates the economic impact of the annual Tour in the tens of millions of dollars. This includes homes sold, jobs and wages created, and supplies sold.

Hours of the Tour are Fridays, 12pm-6pm and Saturdays and Sundays 10am-6pm. Tour guides will be published in the July’s edition of The Bulletin. Guides will also be available at each Tour home. For a complete list of homes on the Tour, visit www.coba.org in July, 2010.
